Cream "Strat" Style Daion on Gumtree.com.au

Not much to go off with this one, possibly a later made in Korea version, coloured headstock and no real identifying naming point towards this.

Beautiful Red Wine coloured Daion Mk XX Guitar on Gumtree.com.au

This would make a nice companion for the Power Mk II XX B Bass previously listed, very rare in Australia and a superb instrument.

This is probably the ultimate players guitar out of Japan. I've had Perry Ormsby make me a matched pair of pickups which are now installed, so it sounds superb.

The contruction is neck through, and the workmanship really is second to none. Everything is first-class, even the Cavity covers were hand carved from matching timbers instead of the standard plastic covers every other model on the market is adorned with.

Even though she looks pretty amazing in these photos, they really do not do her any justice at all, face to face she is far more stunning to look at.

The neck is not your standard ultra thin fast neck, it has a little more meat to it, and feels far more comfortable (in my opinion) especially for digging in and playing Bluesy bends and phrases.

Timbers include Ash for the body, Ebony fretboard, and a combination of Ebony, Mahogony, Maple and Rosewood in the neck.

Comes with the original hard case and a set of high quality strap locks.

Apart from some tarnishing on the gold hardware, this gutiar is pretty much like new, and would easily rival anything out of the USA or any other region for build quality.

Produced in the Matsimoto factory in Japan, where all the best guitars in Japan were produced.

I have owned this guitar since 1995 and am hoping to sell to a real Daion enthusiast. The company went out of business in 1984 but their products now have a reputation as one of the best built Japanese guitars of the period.

The guitar has a few minor 'love dings' that have given it character over the last 33 years. Comes with original hard case which is a little dinged up but still fully functional.
