Very Cool Surf Green Daion Performer on Ebay.com.au and Gumtree.com.au

Right here is almost the blueprint for my perfect "Strat" style Daion.

This Daion Performer is in a very cool Surf/Seafoam Green (or there abouts) with a maple neck, bullet truss rod, single string tree, has beautifully aged pickup covers and control knobs, and the normal chromed style bridge.

With a starting price of AU$2.00 or a But It Now of AU$90.00 this will be a steal either way. If it wasn't half a country away I'd be bidding for this one myself!

Daion Performer electric guitar. It is a few years old but only been used a few times and has been well kept.

This guitar would be great for a beginner!

AU$100.00 Price is negotiable.

  1. I'm the guy who bought this excellent guitar. It's made in Korea but has a gorgeous 1 piece Maple neck with jumbo frets. The body is full thickness (45mm), made of laminated hardwood and is quite light. I've replaced the ceramic pickups with Alnico5, and the electronics with a quality switch and full size 250k pots.

I've also replaced the bridge/trem with one which has a full size trem block. The neck needed just the smallest tweak to be perfectly straight and I lowered the action at the bridge and the nut. The frets didn't need touching as they had been skimmed previously and it now plays beautifully with no fretting-out etc.

I once had an Uncle who had a 1958 Chev Bel-Air that was exactly the same green with a white roof. This guitar just oozes the 1950s vibe.

  2. That's an excellent buy right there Rick, I'm very jealous. Surf Green was indeed a 1950's Chevrolet colour, which is where quite a few of the original Fender Stratocasters came from, automotive colour charts.

    Cheers
